Zensight is a hybrid approach that combines together aspects of Be Set Free Fast (BSFF), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Tapas Accupressure technique (TAT), and ego state therapy (also known as "parts work").

With Zensight we use a healing symbol (similar to the "cue word" concept from BSFF) together with visualizations and verbal healing statements.  We begin by targeting concerns at the most general level, so that results generalize to many areas of life at the same time.

Since no tapping is necessary, Zensight often appeals to even those who otherwise are not usually comfortable with the idea of energy work.

Zensight is deeply relaxing in nature, and often has a meditative quality to it that can be enjoyed even by those who usually feel unable to meditate.

i think it sounds interesting! I did that for a few days when walking to the bus station, it's easier to do than EFT when being in public places..

Being able to heal your stuff in public places without attracting stares is one of the cool things about Zensight.  Sometimes if I'm standing in line in the grocery store and feeling bored, I'll pick something I want to feel better about and by the time I've paid it often feels better!

Glad you are having fun with it.  Cool

hello!

Well I thought I'd ask you for some advice seeing you are an expert!

I'd like to stop eating when I'm bored, stressed, sad etc, so in short I'd like to eat only when I'm hungry (I've been overeating for always-I'm 28 now) and have health issues, I know my health would be better if I didn't eat too much, it would at least help my digestion.

So what line do you think I should use? Could I simply say "I free all my cells in my body off the cravings" and then I say peace ten times or "I eat just when I am really hungry" then peace or "I'm safe when I eat just when I'm really hungry" or "I'm loved even when I eat less" cos obviously food is love sometimes!

what do u reckon?

Hi there,

To address emotional eating I'd use a fairly comprehensive approach that would include:

1) Using Zensight (or other EP method) to treat any emotional upset that you are aware of from the past or present that may be influencing you to reach for food when you aren't hungry

2) Creating and using statements such as those you have written.  Generally it's not so much just one statement but rather a whole bunch of statements that are targetted at the concern.  So you might use statements (and visualizations) in relation to any of your trigger foods; for thoughts/beliefs/feelings that food is love; for any physiological issues that may be related to the problem (sugar sensitivity is a common one); etc…

3) Do some trauma healing on any past experiences related to dieting or food that are upsetting to you.  Also make sure you say a statement or two healing all of the decisions you've ever made before now, any of the times you've tried to change your eating habits.

4) Emotional eating is something that, similar to addictions (and truly it is a type of addiction for many), I would suggest in addition to processing away upset, you want to process away the expectation of enjoyment that you get.  So tune into thoughts of binge eating or mindless snacking and take a SUE (subjective units of enjoyment) rating.  You want to process that down to a 0 so that you can think about binge eating, or snacking, or even your biggest trigger foods, and not anticipate enjoyment of eating them inappropriately.

5) Use visualizations, seeing yourself eating how much you want to eat, sensing that you are no longer hungry (which is sooner than when you are full…) and see yourself stopping with a sense of contentment and fulfillment, knowing that you can eat again when you are next hungry but not feeling like you need to eat before then.  Make the feelings as vivid as you can, and use the healing symbol to strengthen and deepen them.

Okay that's probably enough to get you started LOL.  And you don't have to do it all in one day, you deal with it a piece at a time.

It also can be *very* helpful when you feel like eating and know you aren't hungry, to stop and use the healing symbol.  Use a few statements (or tell yourself "I now repeat all of the healing work I've done before now" and use the healing symbol – it's a quick way to give yourself a booster shot, I use that with people all the time with excellent effect), go do something else, and wait at least 15 mins.  Chances are the urge to eat will be gone.

I also do have a Zensight audio healing session in MP3 format available for purchase on my website, on "Achieving Healthy Weight".  :-)

I hope that helps.  Let me know if you have any further questions.

hello!!

thank you very much for ,ur help!

I'll try what u suggest!

it's really hard for me to have a balanced diet because

1. I have bad habits of eating when stressed, sad etc

2. I have hormones issues which make it worse

3. I have candidas which make me crave for carbs

So it's really hard not getting overwhelmed with it all. I can't eat loadsa stuff cos of the candida and food intolerances so I feel frustrated and then break the diet and eat huge amounts of forbidden food, then I gain weight and feel guilty and then bad physically.. oh dear it's really hard for me.

Anyway yesterday I had a craving for a sandish with honey and I nearly ate it but did the EFT tapping and it went away for a little while then came back, so I did it again then came back and I finally ate an apple which is more or less ok..

thanks for ur help!

have a nice evening!
